Our Vision

ENGAGING – the act of meshing or connecting. At Gate City Vineyard Church we love the word engaging.  We love it because it helps define our purpose. Why Is Gate City Here? We are here to reach people and connect them to a life in Jesus Christ. We do this through our weekend service, small groups, and service to our city. Something we call Engaging With God, One Another, and The World.

Engaging With God – Everyone of us has a life that we’ve been fashioned to live. That life is first found in proper connection to God through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Through relevant Bible teaching and creative expressions of worship we desire to provide an atmosphere for that relationship to develop.

Engaging With One Another – No one is meant to navigate through life alone. We each have been designed to live out our journey with God in connection with those around us. God has placed us in community with one another and has equipped us for a specific function within that community. It is our desire to see everyone discover their part and to help them live it out.

Engaging With The World – God has placed people around us who are within our sphere of influence. Many are lost and broken in the darkness of this world. It is our desire to express the love of Jesus into the confusion of this world’s darkness through personal relationships and outreaching events.
